Deep Engraving |
||
|
Laser
Marking started in the 1960s and today is an approved and well-established
technology in most industries. Deep-marking of metals by lasers reached
industrial maturity at the end of the 1980s. Since then, deep-marking has
continued gaining more interest due to the limits of older technologies and
the continued improvement of industrial lasers. The features of laser deep
marking technology are: ·
No mechanical contact of the tool with the work piece ·
No direct stress ·
No deformation ·
No scratching ·
No tool wear as with older technologies ·
Marking of hard materials (e.g., alloys and hardened tool steels) ·
Marking on uneven or rough surfaces ·
Marking on hollow surfaces without the need for anvils ·
Marking in recessed or undercut areas ·
Virtual elimination of falsification ·
Great flexibility through programming of marking contents ·
Just-in-time production ·
Fully automated production |

On-Site Laser Demonstrations |
|
|
|
As a service to our existing customer base and potential
customers Rofin offers a free laser demonstration on-site at your facility.
Here’s how it works: if you have an application or interest in laser marking
we simply pack up one of our portable table top lasers and bring it to your
doorstep. All we need is an area to set up the laser with 110VAC close
by and we’re ready to roll. A typical demonstration lasts about 2 hours. This includes
a brief review of laser theory, detailed demonstration of our laser software,
and of course, laser marking your sample parts! If you are interested in an
on-site demonstration please contact us at contact
us. |
